Key issues: A cluster governance body, the Moravian Silesian Engineering Federation, was created in March 2003 with an initial membership of 60 companies and a full time staff member. A regional engineering capacity register has been created (April 2003) with over 200 company profiles and this will be used as a marketing tool both to promote the cluster to potential investors and export customers as well as to improve local supply chain linkages within the region.
