Key issues: The workshop will focus on the regional (and national) benefits of participating in a trans-regional network such as ACENET. Two main areas of outcomes are expected from ACENET-activities:
1. Methodology transfer and influence on regional/national policy
2. Business opportunities for cluster companies and cluster facilitators
In the introductory presentations the general framework of the network will be outlined, this will include description of objectives, modus operandi, and overall outcomes. Case studies from two regions/clusters will highlight the concrete benefits and outcomes of being a network member. The cases studies are the Swedish aluminium cluster of the Jönköping/Kronoberg/Kalmar-area and the cluster initiatives of the Rohne-Alpes region in France.
